Dear Vacations To Go Customer,
Today, I'm pleased to tell our river cruise newsletter subscribers about
fantastic discounts on the Galapagos Islands vacations of Celebrity
Vacations To Go customers can save up to 78% off Celebrity's cruises to these fascinating, wildlife-rich islands. Click here for departures and prices.
The upfront price includes gourmet meals from menus created by Celebrity's Michelin-starred chef, all beverages on board (including select wines, beer, spirits, soft drinks, bottled water, coffee and tea), Wi-Fi, guided shore excursions with naturalists and gratuities for onboard crew and guides. Galapagos National Park admission fees are covered, too, along with the use of snorkeling equipment, wetsuits, binoculars and walking sticks.
Trips begin in Quito, Ecuador, and range from 10 to 16 nights. Your pre-cruise stay in Quito -- with two hotel nights, meals and sightseeing -- also is included in the upfront rate, along with round-trip air from the mainland to the ship in Baltra. Some itineraries feature post-cruise hotel stays and sightseeing in Santa Cruz in the Galapagos, or Lima, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley in Peru.
Celebrity has more than 14 years of cruising in the Galapagos, a remote Ecuadorian archipelago that's about 600 miles west of mainland South America. The islands are home to wildlife like frigate birds, Darwin's finches, waved albatrosses, land and marine iguanas, sea lions and giant tortoises.
Guests go ashore for up-close looks at the animals, via Zodiacs designed for 12 travelers each. Expert naturalists lead these small-group explorations.
Debuting in May 2019, the 100-passenger Celebrity Flora is the first ship designed and built especially for cruising in the Galapagos, and one of the most eco-friendly vessels in the region. It will have two restaurants (including the Ocean Grill for alfresco dining), a glass-enclosed observatory, a stargazing platform, a plunge pool and a hot tub. The open-air Vista retreat will boast 360-degree views, loungers and private cabanas, while Darwin's Cove and the Naturalist Center provide information about the Galapagos and its wildlife.
The all-suite ship will offer the largest and most luxurious suites in the Galapagos Islands. Some accommodations feature Celebrity's new Infinite Verandas, where you push a button and a window lowers to open your entire cabin to the fresh air. Touch-panel automation allows you to control your suite's temperature, lighting and blinds. In-room amenities include a customized minibar, filtered water station, 24-hour dining (with full dinner service), free laundry service twice per sailing and complimentary backpacks and rain ponchos.
Two 1,288-square-foot Penthouse Suites come with indoor and outdoor living areas and a telescope.
